How to Get There
We boarded a bus from Sorrento to Amalfi, this journey lasted around 2 hours and was quite an adventure, to say the least. We embarked on a winding bus journey, navigating the twists and turns of the road as it ascended and descended cliffs, tracing a narrow path between mountains on one side and sheer cliffs on the other. At each bend, the bus driver would sound the horn to alert other drivers to our presence. These buses had their quirks that left us in disbelief, and if you're inclined to avoid this experience, considering a private car might be an option – though it could be considerably pricey. Once in Amalfi, the next step was switching to a bus bound for Pianillo, the route that leads to the mountain village of Bomerano, consuming another hour of travel time. We took the bus home from Positano to Sorrento which took about an hour and a half.

The mountain village of Bomerano is absolutely stunning. This is also where you can embark on the famous Path of Gods hike. This was probably my favourite part of our entire European vacation. To read my blog on this trip highlight, click here.
